A bit about me
Hi everyone, My name is Cassie Caratti. I’m passionate about working therapeutically with young people and families, which I have now been doing for 15 years (my entire career to date!)
My journey with play therapy began while studying Masters of Professional Psychology and practicing as a provisional psychologist at Murdoch Child Psychology Clinic, where I worked with children experiencing neurodevelopmental challenges and psychological disorders.
I further developed my skills by through training in the Child Centred Play Therapy Clinical Program through Play Therapy Australia in 2016. Since then I have been fortunate to practice as a play therapist based in Perth and travelling to Darwin, First Nations communities in the NT and internationally in East Timor, where I specialised in working with children who have been impacted by trauma.
I approach working with children with the belief that kids possess within themselves everything they need to be able to overcome their challenges, and that play therapy provides a safe space and safe therapeutic relationship that helps them to do this while processing, healing and growing through the difficulties they are facing.
I put my heart and soul into my work and will always treat your child with the respect and kindness they deserve.
Cassie Caratti, BA(hons).
